I tried all yesterday to post a message, every time I hit "Post Message" IE would just turn up a blank white screen. That was it.

Today I decided that I would debug my problem, as there obviously wasn't a forum problem. The problem came down to the word "s c a t h i n g" being in the message. Any time that word in in the body, the message simply doesn't post.

This isn't the first time Apollo has done this to me. I forgot the other word though, but it wasn't a bad word either.

This same thing happened to me when I was posting my compo wip a few days ago. Different word, something like s c a t t e r e d.

(I did that because it didn't post that IS the word. Try posting it.)

Scathing. Couldn't be anything to do with the word "scat" being in it, could it? Strange, when I went to post this message, I got that blank screen, so I posted something else and edited, and it worked..

Wow that's going back a bit, Benjamin got it 100% right. I added that check years ago when we were having all those 'blood bubble' issues and never removed it. I'm stunned it has taken until now for it to be an issue. Amazing really.

I've disabled the check. FYI it would have also bombed if you'd used the 'word' "7173766991839332453283698273657632788577666999" in your thread too

Cheers,

Rich

If you need to ask, you don't need to know about those grey days.

Awesome Rich It probably has been an issue, but I bet most other people never checked what caused their message to be lost. The fact that it doesn't tell you what's wrong is to blame, but I'm a crazed debugger of all things.
