Now its anything that i try to update and or install, any help? windows update can't update can't update games etc.

Fixed it, after 2 hours of trying to fix it finally, my solution...start from the most recently downloaded program and delete it though safe mode, the first program i deleted fixed it, the program was designed to stop adware spyware and malware in general removed it and BAM i could install stuff again....weird huh?

Because virus scanners slow computers down to the pace of abucuses and iMacs have little compatibillity with a lot of stuff I use.

Since the other one was scaring you guys so much...

Viruses have a tendency to do that, and they are generally harder to get rid of.

Maybe ages ago, yes - or it still happens if you run Norton. Which is why there are better AV programs around. Faster too. Cheaper as well. Some are nifty looking.

Or you could try Microsofts online AV system.

I use F-Secure. It's cheaper than a Venezuelan prostitute and faster than Richard Hamond while filming Top Gear (I can say that now, sinse he's kosha!). £5 if you get it OEM.

Haha i use symantec anti-virus which i like alot. I eventually got rid of it, just a pain in the butt. Had to run it several times as it kept downloading its self back into my computer and then started downloading a bunch of spyware etc.

Symantec and Spybot = distroyed that little bugger....
