It's 12:39am here, so technically it's my birthday (unless you live in Hawaii and you have to wait another hour). Too bad I still have to go to work tomorrow

The big 26 has come, and I remember turning 16 like it was yesterday. Got my driver's license (after failing the learner's test once)--- got a Sony discman and 2 CDs---- and went out to the usual coffee diner to be with friends.

Now I just wish time would stop, but I have to learn to appreciate the good things about getting old--- like when you're married you don't have to worry about getting your hair cut as much (mine's a mop!). And you can listen to talk radio and enjoy it.

Anyways, just thought I'd post this as I'm getting a little anxious about planning my trip to the DPRK for next year.

*laughs* 26 and scared of being old - didn't you read about that guy who was looking for a wife on his blog - he was 108 or something. He hoped to find a wife about half his age!

I'm of the opinion everything under 100 is pretty young these days - unless of course the person in question is boring or dull, in which case they're already ancient, no matter their age.

Short Version - Old is what you make it. Be young, and you are.

[edit] Oh - and HAPPY birthday Enjoy it.

Happy Birthday.

I remember when I was 26, that was a LONG time ago (11 years ago in fact!). Only a few more years to the big 40.

Thanks all! Nice to wake up all tired and sore (rough night) and see this thread full

Thanks again! I have designated today's work day as "do absolutely nothing and get away with it" day! How does that sound??

Me too! I've been dreaming about visiting Pyongyang for such a long time, and next year they will be having their Arirang mass games festival. For those that don't know, their mass games is the penultimate showcase of mass synchronized dance, gymnastics, and song--- their ultimate communistic demonstration, really. There will be as many as 50,000 performers--- can't wait

Juts kidding, you're not old. You're mid-life, or whatever. You're almost old, lets put it that way.

Anyways, enjoy your 9,262th day while I enjoy my 4,631th
