I was online looking for sprite paks to buy and i stumbled on a program.

It can create some amazing tiles for your 2d games
This editor uses masks for combining textures and creating 3d looking 2d tiles such as furniture/tables/chairs.....all look 3d but arnt

does bump map shading does 3d tiles/Ahhhhh its just crazy

check it out::

www.inet2inet.com

well worth buying and buy all the texture/mask packs with it
Has a demo to try out

Why?

Wouldn't the thread last longer in 2D discussion - in here it'll just drop onto the dark place, page 2 in other words .

I thought DBP was ok for this - I assume it'd be ok to use their stuff within DBP for a 2D RPG type game maybe?

That's really nice...

I'd use it if I made 2d...

Personally I think it looks very grainy, and the perspective is isometric while the buildings themselves are pointing straight, which looks weird

The only thing with 2d, is that some of the roofs on buildings look like wall corners, due to the human eye not being able to tell the difference.

Fortunately that's only a personal opinion, because it's waaay off.

It does in fact look incredibly bad. The house with a water mill on the side is at a different angle from the rest of the buildings too (I know its facing a different direction, but its angle relative to the other buildings looks wrong).

Lots of the objects clip each other weirdly too. Just generally a really poor, vile looking mess

EDIT: And the watermill building is a completely different style from the other 'cylinder' buildings

In comparison to 3D, yes, it's incredibly bad. However, as a 2D image creator alone, I say......gj to the creator!

Van, it was in DBP board before, and I figured it'd get (the much deserved) more attention in Geek than it would in either 2D or DBP...

Feel free to move it again if you like

It can be used for your 3d games as well.....using the 2d mask you can trace any texture to a drawing....eg a latter mask can look very damn sweet with multiple textures slapped on it and no physical drawing with your mouse whatso-ever

and the bump maps are sweet too
you can select any texture and do bump mapping....eg a mask with soft corners would create a nifty little tile.

its definetly not bound by 2d only...

would be very usefull for 3d program graphics aswell

"thats my opinion anyways.... im 3d all the way but this editor realy makes me wanna explore different graphics styles...
i think theres well over 800 masks to use and a tutorial on making your own"
anyways....I enjoy using it.
