Newcomers DBPro Corner / Directx error when i run programs

I installed Dark Basic pro

everytime i try to run a program in step through or debug mode i get the Directx error "Directx not installed"

I downloaded and installed the latest version of directx from microsoft yet i still get the same error.

can someone tell me what is causeing this??

the version of direct x you have installed is probably version c but not the latest version.
