It's brilliant! Very offensive, and very funny.

I can't believe that dude actually did all of that. The list of offensive materiel goes on and on... I'd have to say my favorite scene is when he talks with the black dudes and then goes to the hotel with his pants pulled down...

Only saw clips of it, but looks like very funny and offensive stuff.

(A great combo)

Definitely something that shatters the awkward barrier we have now between racism/sexism.

Plus the accent is just plain funny.

Got to see it, but I'm poor and have no money, shame, it looks awesome. The good thing about it is, it shows you don't have to so serious and up tight with taboos as people are, same for South Park really.

I wish I was an American, who had just discovered Borat. Imagine the joy of discovering the entire Ali G/Borat/Bruno back catalogue in one go.

I think I would faint.

Except the Ali G film.
That was a disgrace.

We will never speak of it again.

Went to see it last weekend. THE funniest film I have ever seen! Couldn't recommend it enough - all the humor is to be taken with a pinch of salt and it's hilarious to see the reactions of some of the Americans.

In what way? It was great, you're just obviously too stupid to understand it.

That was me, 2 weeks ago.

Good god. This man's humor just shortened my life by at least 15 years.

Laughing mostly, but cringing on parts where he kept asking how to get into a women's "vajin" or something like that.

Yah, saw it on opening night in a packed, sold out Silvercity theatre. Definitely one of the funniest movies I've seen in a LONG time, but one has to question how much of it was staged.

For example:

It also had the grossest scene I've seen in a long time, and anyone who's seen it knows what I'm talking about

Perhaps so, but at the same time the funniest scene!

lol, i think i know what you're talking about. If anyones cares they can see an CNN clip here: http://www.spikedhumor.com/articles/63903/Borat_on_CNN.html?autoplay=true Where that wich you mentioned in question gets talked about. WARNING! Funny stuff and may not be suitable for all ages!.

I'd have to say that's the best news coverage i've seen on CNN for a very long time.

I saw this movie with my mom...a bit awkward. This movie was wonderful, but far from the funniest movie I've ever seen. It had some great moments though.

Does it top that banned (in the USA) episode where Borat does that offensive anti-jewish song (throw the Jew down the well I believe) in front of a country and western gathering in america, and everyone claps and sings along? That was like totally tops.

Cheers

Yeah, unfortunately, people will do anything when they're drunk, and the country crowd is generally 5x more drunk than the rest of the general population... when they're sober

the film is wicked, i saw it on saturday and to be honest, it wasn't as offensive as i expected, its nothing compared to the TV series.

my only problem with it was that the 'story line' has just been stuck on as an after thought. I'd have much preferred him to have just made a 'proper documentary' with borat as the interviewer.

I don't have a sig, live with it.

Um...ugh?

I'm sure you and yet Mom had a great time sitting through all the awkward sexist remarks then.

Yep, imagine the laughter at our local when we start with the usual racial songs on a friday night after a couple of pints. Then we start singing the Nazi songs to annoy old granddad... ang on.... no, I generally don't notice a complete change in someone's attitudes towards life etc when drunk. Just more stupid and generally total magnification of whatever they thought anyway. Privately think a lot of people from Liverpool will steal every part of your car? When totally drunk perhaps you will voice loudly this idea, perhaps even saying *all* people from Liverpool (rather than just the vast majority ) would nick your stuff. And they should all burn. You wouldn't then normally add that you would like to drown Jewish people in a well....

Cheers
