Great Idea! Downloading now, will edit with thoughts.
Edit: Great work, very useful features, like the weather part.

Just something to bear in mind about Conduit, the site behind these custom toolbars...
Quote: "An online retailer can use the analytics from Conduit community-toolbar to identify and target current customers with custom offers to increase repeat sales."
This suggests to me that they are harvesting user information.

I love their privacy policy

It says
Quote: "
The toolbar does NOT SPY after the user and does not transfer any personally identifiable information such as a name or an E-mail address, ensuring complete anonymity for users.
"

Then it says...

Quote: "
When used, the toolbar sends unidentifiable usage statistics regarding usage of its features to Conduit's servers (Conduit is the service that powers the toolbar). The statistics are completely anonymous, do not contain any personal identification or information in a manner that can identify a user, and no IP addresses are stored. We do not match individual users with their specific Web or toolbar usage and don't share the specifics with anybody. A unique id is used solely for the purpose of knowing how many people are actively using the toolbar and it is not transferred along with any specific usage information. This unique id is not transmitted during any other use of the toolbar.
"

If it wasn't for the highly unconvincing privacy policy, and the fact Spybot immediately flagged it up as spyware, I would say it is a great toolbar. I great shame about the Conduit part of it

I created a TGC search plugin for Firefox 2, one that goes into the top right corner of the browser. You can check the source here:

and install it from here http://www.kentaree-studios.com/search/search.html

Uncle sam is now watching your every move! I hate toolbars, most of the features are built in to web browsers these days anyway. But if I was mad enough to use one, I'd likely use this one.

I lay upon my bed one bright clear night, and gazed upon the distant stars far above, then I thought... where the hell is my roof?
