Hey guys! I'm taking a stop motion animation course at school and I've done a few small movies at home and wondered if anyone else did any of this stuff. I'm looking around at some programs for christmas and would like suggestions if you have any. Nothing pricey though, like less than 100$. Feel free to put up anything you've done too.

I used to make the DAR200 (Digital Animation Recorder) system from EOS Electronics in Barry. It was sold as a line tester, but we also sold it to stop motion artists. It basically consisted of an RS232 control box with record, next frame, back frame, fast forward, rewind, and single frame capture. This was intergrated into a pinnical video capture card system, and a 3 chip panasonic camera. It was ideal, you could just leave the system running, setup the camera, move your models, hit the big red button, then move your models again. Great system, without having to use the mouse all the time.u

I lay upon my bed one bright clear night, and gazed upon the distant stars far above, then I thought... where the hell is my roof?
