I have made a model of a chain gun and was wandering if anyone could please texture it, or point me in the right direction to how to texture it... it didn't take very long and it is the first model i have created, as i am new to modelling. Apologises if it is very poor.....

All i ask is for the credit of the model, if i get any.

WOW Good job! My first looked like 2 sticks. Im still a newb to animation, so I can't help you there, bu I can help you with texturing. First use the stickied uv mapping tutorial by Screwed Over, then use the gimp, or photoshop if you have it. Use images to get the base of the gun done, then paint the exposed part and anything that looks junky. If you use a good mix of paint and images and the blur tool, you should get a decent texture.

what i do sometimes (it works great with pistols) just simply use a metal brush texture like the one i will attach. Just apply that texture to the whole gun and itll look pretty good. (just add the texture to each part seperatly so it doesnt streetttchh) then, steal the gold casing bullet texture from the flaks directory for the bullets hangin on the side. I think butter fingers wouldn't mind animating it for you. He's had offers in the past for free. ( i think...?) once its animated, then buy weapon creator from whoever made it then just import to fpsc then sell. Oh yeah, and the last "to-do"...E-MAIL A TUTORIAL ON HOW TO USE METASEQUOIA! lol.

A 2000 poly model will run, but it won't be optimal. I would use it in game anyway. The only way that would be bad is if you had lots of enemies on screen and quite a few entities. Please texture this gun because if you have this pralice with a first gun model I would love to see your hand at texturing.

Well I would help you with the uv map but my computer has a GYNORMIOUS virus on it and I won't boot it up for fear of loosing stuff. Also don't post your exact age on the forums. You can say you're a kid but don't be specific.

No I wasn't talking to you I was talking to juice. I think it is a great gun, just read my earlier posts. I was just telling Juice because he was acting like he didn't know.
