I am a beginner programmer and ive used some tutorials so i know abit but id like to go onto learning how to use 2D images,sprites,bmp,jpg whatever you refer to it as and i was hoping someone can tell me hoe to load images ina program and use them or even tell me of another tutorial that can teach me this . Thanks in advance!

Can someone help teach me atleast how to make a program that just loads one image and les u only view that image or something like that and explain abit ? plse..

just use load image "image name.exstension",image number

then just change it into a sprite:

sprite sprite number,sprite-x location,sprite-y location,image number that well be this sprite

simple as that

see the "image name.extension" i get but how do u know the image number is that the size of the image ?

the image number u set ur self e.g.

load image "hol.jpg",1
the number can be 10 if u wanted anything it is then used in the other commands like paste image this way u only need to load the image onces after this u just use the number u set to it.

thank you now to load the image do i have to include it in my executable or put in a folder with the EXe? Where do i put the image?

either you can make a final copy which puts all your media files or external files used by dbc into the exe or you can just create an exe that is just for reading the code and you well have to have people download the files with it
