how do i stop them being wiped away as soon as I go to a do, sync, loop? ie



a long time dabbler with DBC and DBPro with no actual talent but lots of enthusiasm...

you keep rewriting them in the loop, but you'll want to put the command "sync on" towards the top of your program because otherwise the boxes will flash and stuff

Then how would I got about writing a 2d painting / drawing program using 2d and sprites and retaining what I paint on screen???

and what happens to the sprites - could always make the background a sprite?

As far as I know the 2d commands and sprites have never gone well together. If you use the thread search at the bottom you're bound to come up with something about text over sprites and stuff as it's been asked many many times before.
