The famous Enterprise D model from the star trek series the next generation, was sold for $500,000. This massive model messures 78 x 59 x 14 inches.

Futher more the model of the space station Deep Space Nine, when for $110,000. The 30 inch borg cube from First Encounters sold for $80,000 and finally Captain Picards flute, which was expected to go for no more than $1,200 ended up going for a whopping $40,000!

So all in all, there are some very happy, and much, much poorer star trek fans out there.

Well, this is the geek board, how much more geeky can you get?

Oh, and the auction house owners are smiling too, they added another 20% on top of the bids as their fee. Earning themselves $76,000 in commision, just on the enterprise D model.

I bet whoever decided to make Voyager totally CGI, is kicking themselves now!

P.S. If you ever wanted to spend thousands of dollars on a special edition 40th Anniversary USS Enterprise, pop over to http://store.startrek.com/product/show/219 there's one going for a mere $1199.99. Or you can grab yourself a replica TOS hand phaser for $199.99. So you all know what to get me for chirstmas! (And what will be going on ebay the next day).

I lay upon my bed one bright clear night, and gazed upon the distant stars far above, then I thought... where the hell is my roof?

It was okay, I wouldn't call it the best of episodes, but it was one of the most thought provoking.

He actually played the flute in 3 different episodes. However, the episode your thinking of is one of my favorites as well... "The Inner Light" it was called. My most favorite STNG episode is "Yesterdays Enterprise" which features a repeat appearance of Lt Yar.

I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I think that any conscious entity can ever hope to do. ~Hal-9000

My other favorite episodes are all the ones with Barclay... he's SO different than his Merdock character.

Oh I dunno, he basically plays the same character from two different directions. One with massive amounts of over confidance, and the other, with a complete lack of confidance, but either way he basically plays a mal-adjusted human being teatering on the boarders of madness.

Wait no there was that one, it was on here a week ago it was... nope, I've got nothing. Got me dead to rights! $500,000 dollars on what is basically a big, premade, airfix kit! It's definately so geeky it's almost qauntum.
