How Do models like the ones in Doom3 or Half Life 2 look so dang good. I mean im just getting into modeling learning a little Milkshape. I am just learning the basics, what do they do to make it look so good

PS what does WIP stand for?

WIP stands for work in progress.

And those other models look so good because they have shaders, higher polly models, and higher quality textures, and also those games have better lightmapping systems including reflections.

Yea I noticed the graphics in COD 2 where a bit....shiny. Maybe adding a lot of light to your games will make the graphics look better lol

an 800 dollar graphic engine used to make professional graphics. if you want those graphics, well everything costs money.

IM NEVER ONLINE TILL SOMETIME AT NIGHT!!! god dont expect me to be sitting at my computer all the time
