Getting fantasy characters that are FPSC ready will be a bit of a problem, you'll have to make them FPSC ready yourself.

There are a good number of fantasy characters / horses / knights on http://www.turbosquid.com/ but a number of them aren't animated at all. Turbosquid has a medieval, historical and fantasy section.

Here are some more links for you:
http://www.cubixstudio.com/index.html
http://www.basilstudio.com/Maid.html
http://home.att.net/%7Earcfire/mdlShop.html

I've asked a number of modelers in this community to work with me on the pack, but they either lacked time, never got back to me, or couldn't do it.

I'm still convinced someone can help us out, since the Medieval/Fantasy Pack is quite a succes. If you've watched TGC's newsletter and Bond1 posts lately, you'll know TGC has noticed the the warm welcome of my pack in the FPSC community and decided to work on one also. but I think it will be a long time for that one will be released.

So, please character modelers, add something great to my Medieval/Fantasy Pack, there are more then enough potential sales to be made.

Perhaps all those people claiming to be able to do characters should step forward? Also perhaps all of you making guns and more guns should switch to making something more original?

Ben,
I'd like to help but I haven't done much character modeling.
You'll see what I mean if you check out my thread in models and media where I posted Feisty the Snowman.
I have been working on it from time to time but we both know that learning to model...especially character modeling...takes time and I am not there yet.

Fred, thanks for the offer I've been trying to master modeling characters for a long time now, but I'm no good at it. I can model a lot of things when it comes to non-organic, but as soon as I try to something organic, I always seem to mess up.

But.... perhaps there's more hope for you then for me or perhaps you and I are just to old to master these kind of skills

I made a retexture of colonel X as a knight... its not all that good though. But he does have a melee script as his difault which is nice

to find it just search for "knight" or look at all my threads.

Errants the only one with any decent guns, and his aren't released yet. Jons are OK, but the pick ups are very poorly mapped and I don't like his hands. Nothing against Jon, TGC loved his work as do countless others.

When ya say stuff like
Quote: "but they either lacked time,"
which was my response to you over email, I feel like a portion of this is directed to me.

Quote: "Also perhaps all of you making guns and more guns should switch to making something more original?"

Mine will be. There are no hand guns with rail attachments and scopes and laser sights. The people that can do these can't help TGC or the community dose not offer what they need.

Also speaking of never replying back, I offered to give you free my succubus model, which is fantasy inspired, but ya never contacted me again after I said I didn't have time to do other models. Courtesies a 2 way street. Even a note back saying you meant more knights and peasant stuff was what you were looking for would have been nice and the right thing to do.

Seems you've made a couple post as of late regarding the guys around the forums that can do these models and as one myself, I have to say look at my join date....I didn't know a thing about low poly game modeling before that time. Time to start readin partner.

Sorry for not replying back at, but I made pretty clear in my eamil what I needed. You may want to check my original email sent for that or allow me to place a quote here:

Quote: "I've noticed on the FPSC boards that you're into character creation, so perhaps I can leave my request with you. I'm thinking of a knight, soldier, male & female peasant, male & female noble and a few creatures, like a giant spider and a giant scorpion."

To me that seems clear enough. Once again sorry for not having contacted you, most of the times I do, but once in a while some things slip by me .

Succubus would have been covered there...but anyways...offered what I had as nothing else that was 100% done fit your needs.
But that email was like a month old...I certainly wasn't mad or anything. Just making an observation

My main point is that the guys that can do this work are probably busy. Looks like bonds making a bunch of these types of characters so the guys trying to make RPG style games(which I love, just isn't what I'm working on) will have to wait or learn to make their own characters. It really isn't that hard once you get into it. And bonds old vid will teach loads about the rigging portion. TGC offers the page on exporters so look at that to adjust for any program your using to cover the right options for a good export.

The next project we have, is already on the table. Seems were going to be doing a full on Sci-fi. This is going to send me back to the books to find out how to do mechanical animations, so joints on robots/androids/whatever don't flex. What I'm getting at is we all have to keep continuously learning something new. Your one post about people keeping the information to themselves is insulting as heck. I learnt what I know by reading.....go read.....learn...it's fun and self fulfilling.
