As much as I tried, I was unfortunate enough not to get my hands on a wii. Unfortunately for me, I thought I would be able to just walk into my nearby target and purchase one easily, but oh, how I was wrong.

It all started around 7 am when I woke up and headed off to target, thinking Id be first in what I thought would be a short line. But as soon as I get there, I found to my horror that at least a hundred people were huddled around, and that the list to get them was already filled.

Thinking quickly, I went to our nearby Costco, and soon after 30 or so people followed. But I was second in line, in the bag right? Wrong. After sitting for something close to half an hour, and the alarm setting off(It was loud!), the manager comes out and tells us they didn't receive their shipment. Thus I went around town all day going to many other stores, but no luck. And here I am now, thinking of what could have been. Anyone else miss getting one?

Fly up to Binghamton New York. None of the stores I've called (Gamestop, EB, Circuit City, and Target... Wal-Mart's line was busy) have sold many units so far. The lady I spoke to at Target said they've only sold "one or two" Wii's so far. I sort of had to lie a bit to get the Circuit City guy to give me information... I told him I was a blogger. Don't tell on me! But anyway, he said they've sold a couple of them, but they still have a bunch if I'm interested in stopping in.

Wait a minute... I have my personal website, and it's pretty much a blog, so I didn't lie! Yippee!

My brother managed to pick one up today. He got his from Best Buy so he had to wait for one of those tickets, infact he woudn't have had one if it wasn't for a women who gave up her ticket because her daughter managed to get a Wii from Target. That ticket was the last ticket they gave out, everyone behind my brother who waited for along time didn't get one.

They did sell alot of Wiis, but not enough that you had to camp out to recieve one, you just had to get there at around 6:00 AM.

Cocacola and Pepsi aren't that differnt. Deal with it.

I just got back from trying to find one. And I had some nasty fish this morning so this is just adding insult to injury.

There's a storm brewing in my city--- a carryover from last week's storm which made the water 90 times past the dangerous level

But I still fought it to ride the train to Future Shop and the guy told me there were 100 units in stock and they sold out in 10 minutes. I *did* manage to grab the very last copy of Zelda, which was all I was looking for because I'm getting the Wii from work tomorrow.

Ahh, so now I have the game and nothing to play it with

hehe I think I'll be joining you in that in December. My sister thinks I'm getting a PS3 game for my birthday because my mom thought I was going to buy one. Woops!

Here's something funny: My aunt hinted that me, my sister, and my brother might all be getting Wiis for christmas from my mom (sad, since my sister is 23, I'm 26, and my brother is 34, I guess geekiness never fades lol). Anyway, the biggest Sony fanboy on TGC gets a Wii before a PS3, what the heck are the odds of that? Lol I won't complain, I like the Wii, just not nearly as much as I like the PS3. I would have gotten a Wii eventually, within a year or two probably, but getting one now would be pretty cool I guess. But none of you better use that against me lol. I'm a conciensious objector to getting the Wii first

While I couldn't make a thorough effort to go out and buy a Wii this weekend, work and all, I did miss buying one as well :

Oh well, past Legend of Zelda and Super Monkey Ball, I can't say many of the launch titles interest me. I'll probably wait until Super Smash Bros. Brawl comes out at least before I invest in one.

The only console I've ever pre-ordered and bought on launch day was the Game Boy Advance. Even then, when there was only me and one other person in the store it still took the 'tard behind the counter about 30 minutes to work out what to do with my pre-order slip and what I'd paid for.

It would appear I've been bitten by the coding bug yet again...

That's the problem with sad lonely nerds, they get obsessed with getting the latest gadgets first, its like a psychological dependence to be able to gloat, because in life they have nothing to say for them-self other than to get a new gadget early and be one of the first in the world to get one, leaving relaxed gamers who go, 'I have £180, hmmm, I want a Wii, lets go to my shop...ahhh!!! the return of the radiactively stressed nerds...' Sorry for any so called nerds on here, but my definition of a nerd is someone who likes similar things to a geek, but is really goofy (Not in all cases, but traditionally they look goofy) they have bad tempers, think everybody is thick but them and express that in a really horrid way, when someone is trying to make them laugh or be nice to them, they tell them to eff off and to leave them alone, if you tell them a joke or saying something that both stupid and funny, they'll take it literally, turn it into political correctness, try to make you look wrong, stupid and they're smart and right...And tend to get sarcastic comments from me if provoked (I'm not a bully they have to wind me up first )

I really missed out with the PS3. Some were selling for about $3000 on ebay the day of launch; that's an easy $2000 profit! I should have waited in line overnight.

I thought Sony had a deal with ebay so no one could sell the PS3 on launch day for a ridiculous price. Well, maybe I'm wrong, but it just seems like such a big profit to make off something that you didn't even create.

Cocacola and Pepsi aren't that differnt. Deal with it.

I went to the Wal-Mart in Bellingham at 6 P.M, there were only about 15 people there out of an alloted 30 possible units, mainly because everyone else thought it was going to be a 7 in the morning launch as opposed to midnight.

Tuesday should bring more according to the manager though.

Dear God! I got to my Costco today and they had two units left! But to my luck I couldn't buy one because I was a minor, so they lady who showed up an hour after me got it, and some other random person got the last one. Is there a Wii conspiracy going here?

I don't get it: you couldn't buy a console in Florida because you're a minor? Did it come bundled with booze or porn?

It is an odd policy, right now you can only buy a Wii console if you're over 18 or accompanied by someone who is. o_O
