I read the manual (pdf)...but since I´m a graphics designer and not that good at scripting/programming I got stuck immediately;

I have a switch that controls a remote door...and I got this working.
But now I want the door to be open by default (or at start/init if you will...)
...and I can´t figure out/understand the (probably VERY simple) script for this.

Should I edit the doorremote.fpi (placed in main-slot at the door) or should I do this "open by default" in the start-slot for the door?!?!

If you want to learn how things work in FPSC its a good idea to set up some simple test levels. I have them for doors and so on.

You can place numerous doors, switches and trigger zones and apply differing scripts to them to find out what they all do. You can learn a great deal.

In FPSC you can have a door open automatically using the autodoor script. As well as using remote doors a trigger zone or your own trigger entity can be used to activate any switch or door from distance. You may have to learn a little scripting though its not difficult - you can simply use a player proximity distance to call any entity into activation.
