Whipped6, I think the next thing you need to learn in Darkbasic is making arrays and saving/loading to/from files.

I assume you'll be paying royalties to the creators of the "jokes" you're selling?

and what? It seems strange to go about respect when you write a program with the sole intention of displaying (potentially) offensive jokes about people mothers...

Obviously no one can stop you writing a program to do this, but I think many users here are beyond the point of finding "YoMomma" jokes even slightly entertaining.

I'm not defending Whipped6 but think about it the other way. Shouldn't we be mature enough to not take your momma jokes as a personal attack on our mothers?

Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.

What? I should stop trying to discourage you from wasting our time and your own by making stupid programs like this, because you see me on IRC? Oh, that makes sense.

Please, by all means, make a program that prints to the screen a 1000 juvenile phrases, thats fine. But stop posting it on the forums hoping to get a decent response to it, people will comment much better if you put your mind to creating something that requires a bit more experience than writing "PRINT Your momma is a dork" a thousand times.

*sigh*, in 3 years we'll be getting one of the "post your stupidest posts you made when you just started" threads that seems to spring up every summer.

Wehaven't seen the entire list yet, but yes, we should be more mature than to get a little ticked off about a possibly insulting joke...

I know this is going to sound mean, but I have to make it clear that any game worth selling must take more than 5 mintues for an experienced coder to create, espeically if you aren't an experienced coder, and judging by this program, Whipped6 is not.

Whipped6, your program will never sell. You shouldn't waste your time collecting jokes. Here's some reasons:

1 - Who wants to pay $1.50 for something you can find on Google?
2 - Who wants to enter a different number every time they want to see another joke?
3 - Who wants to wait for the Direct X overhead to finish loading?
4 - Who wants to press any key to see another joke?
5 - Why would we want to see the program's name ("Welcome to MommaJokes2") over and over again?
6 - Where's the graphics?
7 - Who wants a 1/2 MB exe on their hard drive when the actualy content is less than 4 KB?
