A classic thread, what music ya listening to at the moment, what’s your favorite song, what’s ya band, what’s ya music?

Personally I’m listening to my chemical romance, welcome to the black parade and its possibly the best thing that’s ever passed though my ear drums.

Best song on it is either house of wolves or mama but the entire album is well below par.

i've just got hold of the entire Fluke album list, they're the band that made the rave music you hear in the matrix scene where they're all underground showing their lack of fear after morpheus did that speech, and in the mean time trinity and neo are getting jiggy.

anyway, its now in a playlist 6 hours:38 long, and i've vowed not to stop coding until its over- apart from my opticians appointment ^_^

Directly behind me I hear mouseclicking (my wife playing solitaire). To my right I hear the music from "Bejeweled Deluxe 2" (my Dad loves to play that, Magic Ball 2, and Microsoft Flight Simulator).

If it didn't annoy people I'd be listening to Weird Al Yankovick.

Right now? Well my sister just pushed a button on her 'Christmas carol cat' and that what I'm listening to

But I was listening to Opeth - Damnation

Most listened to - The whole Opeth lot except Orchid which I haven't got, sorry they are just so good

But recently other than Opeth I've been listening to a lot of At The Gates, Stratovarius, Tool, Bob Marley, Stone Sour, Byzantine, Dream Theatre and Symphony X.

The best thing I can say in German is how to count to ten, ask "how are you?", and "where's the bathroom?" lol. But that's it. There's a German kid in my school and my dad has German friends from work. I actually wish I lived in Germany.

Even though I don't speak much German at all, I still look up Rammstein lyrics and I don't think they are that lame. I really just like Rammstein because of Till's (the lead singer) voice and the way their music sounds. It's awesome headbanging music.

Eating penis is real fun huh? As long as its in german.

today I meet a man
I enjoy eating him
soft parts and also hard
are on the dinner menu

just that's enough to turn me away... Also the verb Fressen is only used when referring to animals eating, essen is the human form of "to eat".

I'm not listening to anything at the moment, but I'm usually listening to Slipknot

My favorite band it Slipknot
I like the heavier stuff, like Slipknot, Children of Bodom, that stuff, but since I've heard the songs Circle and Vermilion Pt. 2 I've started listening to and playing acoustic stuff.
I'd have to say my favorite song would be Opium of the People

Germany is a really nice place to live, I'd recommend it, okay I had a friend who went on a German exchange who didn't like it, but then her friend was a tarted up moron I lived close the Germany/Holland border, so I got a mix of laid back Dutch and some generous Germans

I seem to like the most unlikly set of music you could hear.

I love Nickelback but then I also like Eminem and 2 Pac , and then after rap comes calmer stuff like Gary Jules (Only Mad World though) then theirs You Know My Name from casino royale wich is exellent.
More music all of which I love:
Arctic Monkeys, Guns "N" Roses, The Kooks, Linkin Park, Outcast, Black Eyed Peas, Scooter and hell even Scissor Sisters.

Yes, I know. Rammstein does touch a little on the gay side. Although, they aren't gay. Most of them have children and/or wives or girlfriends. In an interview the lead singer Till said that they just like to push the limits on their music, but they mean it in an unharmful way.

http://herzeleid.com/ has some information on the band.

Im listening to -

The Shins - Love everything they do. Favorite album? thats a hard one. Maybe Chutes too Narrow...

the figurines - awesome. Just awesome.

Iron and wine - ahhh sleeping music

Antony and the johnsons - who doesn't want to be a transvestite eh?

System of a Down - Hypnotize. Love it.

Elliot Smith - Just getting into the poor depressed(and dead) guy.

None more black - punk yay

Rise against - more punk yay!!

NOFX - great band still going strong.

thats about all im listening to at the moment. I often swing between softer indie stuff, and violently good punk.

no its a song about a popular urban legend in Germany. But still, why sing about that? Not so much gay as just disgusting "shock rock" we know all too well thanks to alice cooper and mr. manson. They certainly are good entertainers, and some of their stuff I do like.

This week, I ave been mostly 'earing:

Somewhere Over the Rainbow / What a Wonderful World sung and played by Israel Kamakawiwo`ole.

*sniff* Such a nice tune. To hear it yourself, go to this airship's mySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/spiritofdubai

Generally though, rock, metal, disco, a little of the more popular country (Country Roads, etc), industrial, and Dr Steel.

I wouldn't say so, they're just common, I mean everybody has pretty much taken that strat style, but a real strat handles quite nicely, although preferring the Gibson's and Parkers more.

I still have a Jackson and a Charvel from my thrash days but my SE612 is my main axe (not that I play near often enough anymore). I like mostly strat shapes Ironbirds, Warlocks, and V's annoy the hell out of me.
