I am working on a flight combat sim (not a realistic one but...) and have run into the problem of my view, it doesn't work. How would I go about programing a 3rd person view that always stayed at the top part of the plane?

there are a few methods and more then im mentioning.

M1 : create a dummy object and offset from the model, then attach the camera to this.

M2 : createa limb and attach camera to the limb

M3 : using a variable to handle the radius distance from the object.

i use pretty much the same method as ruccus does, except i use

set camera to object orientation objectnumber

instead of the "rotate camera" bit.
