is it possible to have a weapon silenced so enemies don't respond to the sound of it firing?

Yes, if u have say a colt sound in windows sound recorder format, open it with that. Copy the original and put it on the desktop. Speed the sound up and make the volume lower. These options are in one of the drop-down menus up the top. Save it as a the same filename and in the same folder that it was in, (program files/the game creators/fps creator/files/audiobank/ww2/guns/colt or something like that) and see how it sounds in FPSC test level. Did this help?

uh, you didn't answer his question, it has nothing to do with the sound, this is a script issue.

lowering the volume doesn't really make enemies less responsive.

if you want to have a silenced colt (or any weapon) remove fire.wav in the gamecore/guns/ww2/colt45/

MAKE A BACKUP OF IT BEFORE YOU DO IT IF YOU WANT A SHOOTING COLT AGAIN!

I used to be Supah Gamer and asked Rich to change my name. So don't get mixed!

Not a good idea.
You can change the sound but you don't want to remove it.
Removing certain sound files from weapon folders will cause your game to crash.

I'm abit tired so i dont really know what i am typing...

This, as Silent Thunder said, is a script issue. If the script for the character your using contains a 'noiseheard' command (don't remember the syntax right now, I'll look it up later) then making it a lower volume will do nothing. And since there is no way to tell what weapon you have, there is no way to 'cancel' the command.

That has nothing to do with his question what-so-ever, JohannesM. He wants to know how to make a weapon thats not detected by other NPC's....changing a .wav has absolutely no effect.

Ask this in Scripts since it has nothing to do with Media per say. Are you thinking they actually "hear"? *shakes head*

Edit: hehe cross posted with Airslide
