I know this is kind of a grey aria but does nyone kno where i can get a program to back up xbox games, my disks tend to get sratched so i decided to start backing them up before they get unplayable. I have lookd all over the net and i get told that i need to link my xbox to my pc and run though millions of complicated processes, so it would be a great help if nyone knos a program i can do a str9 copy with.

Sorry if this is kinda bad if so plese dont flame me just lock the thread.

i'm net entirely sure if making a backup is illigal, certainly mocrosoft encourage you to back up operating system install disks but a game is a slightly different issue.

AMD athlon 64 3000+, 1GB ddr400, 400GB total hdd, ati radeon x700pro 256mb (pci-e) 17" tft(@1280x1024).

iirc, but dont quote me, it is legal to create one back up of a disc, providing that it is used purely as a backup, if the original disk is ever sold then the backup must be destroyed, the backup must remain in the possession of who ever owns the original disk

as to backing up the discs, the only way i know of is to use a mod chip and copy it from the drive when the disc is inserted, as to using a program on your pc, then something like nero will not do it as it will just read the video part of the disc stored on the inside of the disc, but i have heard of people copying them

Not trying to be antagonistic, but just put the discs back in their cases. Dont stick em shiney side down on tables full of crumbs and then slide them about, or use them as shurikens to take out your siblings. It's easy to keep discs pristine.

No, it is not legal to copy Xbox games, as there is clearly a sentence on each one saying not to make illegal copies. Also, in order to do it, you need a mod chip (as somebody pointed out), which is also illegal in several countries.

Do a search, because this forum clearly can't have anything to do with that.
