Heya!I know I don't usually beg content from others, but this time I'm really stumped. I really need a certain type of script...

I need a barrel that spawns from a trigger zone and explodes straight away.

I know it's probably quite simple, but whatever I do, the barrel just appears, then dissapears without exploding.

Anyone got any ideas?

If you can get me a script that does the above, I'll pay you back in someway, models, scripts, you know!

Thanks.

set two trigger zones on top of each other.

1st trigger zone= have it spawn the barrel, set the life to 10 and explodable.

2cnd trigger= have it spawn something above it (edit the texture to make it invisable) and set the strength greater thatn the life of the barrell. and it should explode when it spawns.

I hope this helped.

Set the spawn life to 1 and make it explodeable. That way, when it spaens, it will die and explode.

That's what I was going to suggest, I just wish they could do it so it wasn't a minimum of 1 second - so we could make a brick spawn and a split second after explode, good for a random explosion when you enter a room or something. I tried 0.1 but it seems to round to 0.

could you use an invisible entity to do this or is it purely the timing issue?

Guys. it's all good, I'm using the delay at 1 second and having the trigger zone slightly further back than I originally had it.

I guess an invisible entity might help, the problem is sometimes I want it a bit more presisely timed with the other event that is triggered, which I can't really delay cause timers are so screwed Sure, sometimes they work, but as often said before they are global which doesn't always work out right for me.
