Ok guys, here's the skinny.
I only edit my setuplevel.fpi script
after I build my level. Therefore I had no idea that it would cause an error if you tried to build your game with my edited setuplevel.fpi.
Here's how to fix build errors.
Build your game with the regular setuplevel.fpi The bloodsplats that you've saved into the gamecore\huds folder will be copied across because that's the default, all you have to do then is open the language bank of your built game and replace the old setuplevel.fpi, with my updated one, and you shouldn't get any errors.

I don't want to be horrible to you dude, but I said in the licence that this script was NOT noob friendly. If you check out the setuplevel.fpi you'll notice that it's DESIGNED to display the blood at health below 40 and put them in random places on the screen. If you want to change the position or time that the blood appears on the screen you'll have to edit the values in the setuplevel.fpi.
Quote: "Butters: Does the blood hud completely change when health is lost, or is the next hud simply added on?"
Next image simply added on. I might do an update soon, with a couple of different ways the blood appears etc, but lets be honest, I've given you the basis, it's not that hard to edit it to work how you want.
I'm away from home right now, but I'll have a look at it when I get home...
