I have been doing a lot of thinking, and I am torn between getting 3 things.. A Mac Book Pro, a Dell XPS laptop, and a Nintendo Wii.. I didn't get a Mac Book Pro bacause I don't have a copy of Windows XP SP2, and don't normally use Mac OSX. I know the Wii is the cheapest, but I am broke on getting gifts.. So for me it is one or the other.. So if you have experience with these things (Well not all, of course) please tell me wich you would more highly reccomend. Thanks.

Personally I would pick the thing that is most useful for you, and then go from there.

For me, a primary PC is the most important, so I would go with it. But if you already have a good PC and you want a "toy", then you can arrange them by usefulness and it still works.

Non of those things would be truly useful. I already have a PC that does everything for me, and that is why I am debating an XPS. The only difference would be playing games in my hammach. A Mac Book Pro would be good for peicing together guitar tracks I play with drum loops, etc. in Garage Band, and the Nintendo Wii just looks...different, wich sometimes can be good.

Dude, get the xps. Mine is awesome. I've got a good desktop computer for gaming but I can play any game I have on full quality on my laptob as well. Nothing better than playing star wars republic commando in gov't class. Though in those situations it is a bit hard to control with the touchpad mouse

It's hard to appreciate the portability until you get one. It's almost like a super powerful gameboy... (kind of )

If you can afford a Mac PowerBook, then you can afford a new mid-range vista premium compatible PC and a Nintendo Wii.

just buy the PC parts, cause it ends up being bucket loads cheaper; even cheaper when you can get parts wholesale too.

Well I'm not going to buy PC parts and try to buy a laptop.

@The crazy - I meant shape wise it was more like a laptop.
@Kaurotu - Building a laptop would be quite an achivement compared to a PC (at least for me).
