How can we advance leet? I personally dislike leet but I'm amused by how it keeps evolving to become less an less coherent. So what can we anticipate(or fear) about the future of leet?
You became u along time ago now what? How about change u to OO or 00 or better yet )) or )0. What do you guys think? Do you have any ideas for tghe evolution of leet?

Those who are truly elite don't need to discuss it, and would never actually admit to it anyway - because they just are it.

Elite never evolves, it doesn't change, it's a constant thing. All that defines it is who is elite in the current generation. Then someone new comes along and takes the crown.

There's no "fear" of the elite.. there's only jealousy.

I think he's more referring to the moronic spelling.

Your heading down the wrong track glorfon, if you get caught up with the others in regards to nonsense posts, your going to waist a lot of time and Id hate to see the start of that after we spoke in depth. keep plugging on your game, dont become another statistic with the trolling that happens here. you were doing well just keep at it.

What exactly is your definition of 'elite'.

Is the meaning not obvious, anyone with eyes and a brain will see that the mere definition of elite is me! (I wish...)

That reminds me of my BBS days. Whenever a message would start talking about hackers I'd post "A true hacker won't tell people he's a hacker.". I'd get asked "Are you a hacker Grog?"... "Nope."... "COOL!". I of course really wasn't a hacker.

Back then though a lot of people in my area considered me a "hacker" just because I programmed.

Indi I'm getting tired of repeating my self so I'll just quote what I keep saying on that forum.

"For a year or two I've wanted to make an MMORPG but I aassumed this was nothing but a pipe dream. That was until I discovered the huge amount of indipendent coders at this site. But production isn't the point of this forum.
Don't bother posting about the numerous chalenges of making a mmorpg. I'm well aware of them and I do not plan to even try making this. If I get THAT far I know it won't be easy."

"So the reason I'm making this thread is to discuss what people like and dislike about mmorpg's."

"OK here's some things that I need to make clear and I think I mentioned in my initial post. I don't really expect to make this..."

Ok!? that forum was about what makes a good mmorpg. I'm working on it a little bit incase I ever decide to try making it. But right now I have some other projects [*cough*]http://www.adultswim.myfreeforum.org[/href]

well technically the term hacker used to refer to a really good programmer... but the term got twisted and perverted to what it is now (a malicious programmer/one who breaks into stuff )

I think that's more for their own safety from the fight club members

Kinda like being cool... no one tell you, you just think you are. lol
The elite honestly don't know that they've been labeled such, unless you're talking about those who are elitest. In which case we know we're great, and don't really need to be bothered by those 1337 riff-raff.

@ Everybody
How elitist are we?

There are 3 people lined up.

#1. A field worker
#2. An electrician
#3. A doctor

We can only shake the hand of one person.

Which one would you shake and why?

No offense, but I think that's a rubbish question. It'd be better to ask "Which profession is best?" if that's what you really mean. Or perhaps "Which person would you most like to talk to if you only knew their profession?". I don't like the whole glossing over with hand shaking and lining people up kinda completely bizarre scenario! Ask what you mean!

Fallout, I think it might be a trick question of some sort. Perhaps something like the field worker has manure (sp?) on his hands, and maybe the doctor has blood or something on his. If this is indeed the case grog, I'd say the elctrician

Np I'm not offended and it's not a trick question. A total elitist would pick the doctor because he/she is rich or just because it's a high status job. I seriously doubt anybody here is a total elitist.

Great, another thread where everyone shows their awesome leet translation skills.

/me predicts a slow and agonising argument over who knows the most about the history of hacking, which will undoubtedly lead to the
"hackers arent crackers" convo, ending in a short but sweet "this thread is useless" lockychu by a mod.

Something might spark between us, and the experiance could be electrifying.
Okay, yeah... I hate puns anyways. Just wanted to get out of the obvious 'doctor' answer (and couldn't think of anything for field worker)

Quote: "as anyone truly elite would never spell like that anyway."

Ahh, but if the guy could type like that in real time... and not just replacing letters either, but randomly creating new ways to represent them. That could say something. (And by real time, I mean no noticable difference between the speed in which a person can normally type).

Wisemen are hard to find, they are tarnished by sayings and quotes that are not of their true nature.
