I have searched the forum for an answer to this, but mostly its spawning with player distance, when I want spawn after destroy.I may be going about this in completely the wrong way,any help would be appreciated on this.I have put the models on the media forum if anyone wants a better idea of what it is I'm wittering on about.

once I tried doing the same thing with the steam decal. I just managed to do that using a workaround.

1.name the decal XXX
2. put XXX in the ifused field of the destroyable entity
3. in the script for the entity add this line
:ifhealthlessthan=10:activateifused

mind you, this line wont run if the health of entity drops from over 10 to 0. Then it runs the destroy script directly.

Thanks, both. The problem with decals is they have no spawn on/off in the ai,looks like it has to be something added to the decal script hence candles suggestion.I dont know enough about scripting so I'm kind of flapping around in the dark on this one.

Ya that would be nice if they added that to some of the other stuff.

funny. I remember doing something like this for my puzzle level contest.
It was the end scene, and you destroyed the tanks and it gave off smoke and fire?
Maybe I am wrong, but if you want to check, you can download it and check.

Played your puzzle level filya, its pretty good, espacially like your game menu.
Anyway, there is a steam decal left when the tanks get blown, but it may have already been there, just hidden by the tank entity, its hard to tell.

thanks rolfy.

yeah, I was talking about those steam decals. It's a little difficult to remember, but I dont think the decals were hidden by the tank. But like I said, I am not too sure. (I haven't touched that level in over 2 months now)

In the game, in the scriptbank folder, there might be scripts for end game or blow tank or something. I am really sorry for not being able to help you, but I am caught up in other stuff right now.
