how do i make the player have to enter a code only once to be able to play my game??

By 'code' are you talking about a typed word such as a password? If so you can do something like:



Put this at the begining of the game code before anything is run.

what i mean is a one time only.like once & never again.maybe i would need to write to some file?

yeah I was going to say, just write a "1" or something to a file if you've entered it, and then read each time to see if the file has a 1.

If the file is in the same directory as the game itself it'll be real easy for people to copy the entire directory and copy the registration at the same time. The file needs to be in a different directory like "\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\YourDirectory\" to make it harder for newbie pirates.
