Thus far we have been a bit selfish on this forum me thinks, so what are you giving this Christmas?

I’m getting my dad the first three books of the Discworld by Terry Pratchett. He introduced me to Harry Potter so I thought I would return the favor and introduce him to Discworld.

My brothers getting the A-Team series one. I hate him but he likes the A-Team so i thought, meh.

I don’t know what I’m going to get mah mam yet...any suggestions?

Ughhh. I hate buying prezzies for my family. So far I have my sis and her hubby that bloody gorilla pod ... need to find something else. My dad I am buying a photo printer, but the one I'm after is out of stock everywhere. My mum ... I'm clueless. Gonna have to start asking questions.

THE CLOCK IS TICKING!

This is the time of year I thank god I'm single.

No job, no money...so I guess I'll be giving out the presents from around the Christmas tree, I was hoping Pets at Home would accept my application so I had money in time for Christmas, but I obviously was not good enough for them

My mum's asked for a years subscription to, wait for it...

The Cloud Appreciation Society.

I can't complain though, most people probably think programming is a tad stranger than looking at clouds.

Don't have the foggiest what to get my brother. He's getting a psp (lucky git) so I might get him a UMD movie/game or 2 and a book. He likes books (even though they're stupid).

They're all a great read. The kind of books that can make you lol (literally)

It would appear I've been bitten by the coding bug yet again...

The good thing about being married is that you can have your wife do all the shopping for your side of the family too.

The bad thing about being married is just about everything else.

I have vague plans for World Domination

I used to give alot of gift cards for christmas, then a few years back cash was short so I made some ornaments out of blown out egg shells. Now thats what everyone wants from me every year. Damn gift cards are easier. Scrambled eggs anyone?

hey umm... not sure if it's a bad thing or not, just noticed that the top four threads on this board were posted by you

anyway, i'll probably pitch in with my siblings to buy presents for mum & dad + rest of siblings (except i won't pitch in for my own sibling present of course)

no idea exactly what we'll be buying though... nobody has even said anything about what they want yet heh

Yes well it makes sense doesn’t it? I post four threads, each with interesting topics which each get responses, I come online and post in all four, pushing them to the top.

Doesn’t take a genius to work that out.

All the family decided not to bother a few years back. We just get the nephew loads of stuff. At the end of the day when you get to a certain age youve usually bought the stuff you want for yourself. It means less stress and more time to chill out.

Oh, I know how that works. My mate is buying his girlfriend an XBox 360 for her birthday. I asked him why he didn't just buy her a set of alloy wheels for his car instead.

My father specifically stated he didn't want anything for Christmas, strangely.

I've bought my mother a blue and black Penguins Jersey, she's a big hockey fan, absolutely loves the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

I've also bought my brother a few PS2 games: Metal Gear Solid 3, Bully, and Dirge of Cerberus.

Plan to buy a rather short co-worker of mine a pair of foot high platform shoes: she's barely more than four feet tall, and more than once I've collided into her, or slammed her with a door because of how short she is. A pair of shoes like that should help me avoid that problem

My brother just got a Nintendo Wii, so I'm giving him pretty much anything to do with it(hopefully I'll be able to get him the Nunchuck). As for my mom, basically just some books and/or set of kitchen utilities that she likes. I have no idea what my dad wants, so I'm just going to wait untill he buys himself something the day befor Christmas and says "Why don't you just give me the money for this?"

Cocacola and Pepsi aren't that differnt. Deal with it.

Evil! *hiss*

--------------------

I only have 5 or 6 people to buy for, as my wife and I usually don't exchange gifts at this time. Most years I end up getting frustrated with malls, family, business', annoying TV commercials etc. This year hopefully I can do some more reflecting on what Christmas is.
