hi

this may sound like a bit of a strange request but I'll ask it anyway

Is it possible to record whatever sounds is coming out of the speakers on your computer straight into a recording program such as audacity or Magix music editor using the sound card??

If the question is not understood please tell me and i will try my best to explain a bit more.

Cheers

Yes. You just press the record button, and it records whatever is playing. It's not necessarily legal, but it's possible.

if the sound card supports this feature then yes. for example, using a sblive card, set the recording source to "What you hear"

not sure about other cards, they should have something similar

I use a program called Audio recording wizard 3 to record the sounds coming from my guitar, it also supports what you need it to do.

I'm using the trial, it's pretty good for a trial actually. 3 minutes of recording altough that resets when you close the app.

Comp : 1024mb Ram, 3.0ghz, GeforceFX 5800, 1,1TB storage
skills: 3ds max, Reason 3.0, Photoshop CS 2, DBP and soon to come C++

BigMan,

in the audio properties, or in creative mixer, find the recording properties. It will be set to Mic or nothing, choose "What You Hear" from the list of possible choices.

if you dont have creative mixer then in windows, double click the speaker icon, choose Options/Properties menu, select Recording, select device from list

BM I like your sig, we used to have a little antique looking sign/placcard in our bathroom on the main level that read:

"We aim to please, you aim too, please"

I don't know what ever happened to that thing, but there's one in there now that says:

"Seating capacity: ONE"

You can have quite a lot of fun with bathroom jokes lol.

My friend has one on his barthroom door that is in the style of the caution wet floor signs but it has a pic of one of those sillouhetes missing the loo (if you get me lol)
