On my hud it shows up with the type i want but it won't get the black away. Does anyone know how to fix this? The picture shows what i am talking about.

your black is probably not full black

it has to be 000000 back for it to become transparent

Ok i'll try it, though im pretty sure it is full black.

I just tried and it still shows up. I believe this is full black (check the screen).

P.S. does anyone know a free screenshot program as you can see i only got the freeware the is "UNREGISTERED".

Look for screen hunter, it is quite handy.
I don't know what is going on with that hud there, what file format is it in?

Yeah it's called the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard.
Hit it then go into MS-Paint, then click Edit, then click Paste.

Boom, there is your screenshot in a bitmap for free.

Speaking of MS-Paint,
That is what I used to make a few HUDs like the one for my "Light Ray".
As Templar said, the RGB needs to be 0,0,0

Ok i'll try gimp. It is in .tga format because that is what was in the FPSC script.

@templar I don't know how to alpha map or really what it is. I've heard of it before. Is there a tutorial somewhere that could teach me?

You need to make sure the back ground is actually transparent...
See the screenshot provided... (I added a black outline to the text, just so you can see it...)
When youve made the text, save it as .TGA and make sure its transparent if you try and open it back up in PS/PSP/Gimp etc etc.

When you create a new picture at file new , there sohuld drop down box where you select if you want it transparent

Yea it does but when i do that the background is just white not the white and gray squares.
