Not that I am a fan of censorship but this line is comical.

Quote: "My country used to be
Sweet land of liberty"

The things that are said or seen on tv and the radio now would have caused a riot in the 50's and around when our country was born these things, regardless of freedom of speech, likely would have gotten you arrested.

The United States has always allowed censorship. We are allowed to ban books, we have. Also, there is no true balance. If a party controlled Congress, Court, and Presidental Office, and the party thought it would be swell to get rid of our right to petition against government laws, then passed the going away of freedom of speech, we couldn't do anything against it.

@CattleRustler, yah, come to pass with 2 parties in office (Both Corrupt, thank you very much). I dont dig how everyone blames 1 party. The Republicans and Democrats are the same. Corrupt, power hungry. Go 3rd Party!

ours is a multi-party system, but it still ends up being the same two slogging it out.. some will never come to power while others have only tasted it briefly.

hopefully people are going to have more sense in the next elections rather than the common thought of 'a vote for another party is a wasted vote' .. i hate labours ad campaign against Lib Dem particularly trying to spread this reasoning.

given we don't have freedom of speech here, often find the US is far more strict on what you can and can't talk about.

A politicians job is to distract you from the real issues with something that sounds even more dangerous. Take Global Warming, they hammer you with the dangers of it so you don't think about the fact that you are still living paycheck to paycheck and the politicians don't want that to change.

It's the politicians that have allowed companies to pollute our environment... and the politicians now act like we're the problem?

When they point a finger at us... there's always 3 pointing back at them.

You're thinking of 'Abu', what? It was a question when playing Disney trivial pursuit in the 6th form centre, I can't help it!

Apu is the Indian guy who owns the Kwik-E-Mart on the simpsons.

Federal Communications Commission. They tell you what you're allowed to say. Howard Stern knows the commission well.

I didn't write it, I came acrossed it on http://fccfu.com/
