Help!!! I recently installed a new driver for my videocard so I could use 3D World Studio correctly, which now works, and now I can't use DB at all! Whenever I type any program in, 2D or 3D, and execute it, I get the following warning:

SYSTEM ERROR: SURFACES COULD NOT BE CREATED. D3D DEVICES DO NOT SUPPORT BACKBUFER BIT-DEPTH AND HW ACCELERATION

and then DB quits! Please help!

i have tried a directx diagnostic, and i get:

directdraw acceleration: not available
direct 3d acceleration: not available
agp texture acceleration: not available

i sorted out the driver, DB is back to normal but 3DWS is back as it was, and I cannot use it. I'm off to the cartography shop forum now, to see whether that works in the same way as 3DWS!

i have the same problem on my laptop. i need it to work really bad. im working on a project and cant stay at home, im always somewhere else.

im new and dont know anything about programming. all i want to do is program games.
