What did you guys think of it? I wonder what that shield thing was. All I know is I want to play it even more now, I mean I know it was CG and all but it was still cool. I think my winter vacation should be to goto bungie studios and weasel my way into hanging out with them and playing it lol.

That said, I wonder what the game will really be like, I read they changed the control scheme, its supposed to take the 360 controller into light. Does anyone here work for bungie?

it was pathetic... biggest bunch of crap i've seen in a while, after watching it i had to go back and watch the E3 trailer again just to feel validated in getting hyped about the game again.

what's more it was short as ****. atleast the E3 one was not only in-game graphics but also made some sense and was approx. 2.5min long.

this was just pointless to say the least; it's been said (by bungie staff) that it's trying to hint at the story while not revealing any of it; what? we're going to go back and see master chief as a kid in a field alot pondering the unverse before joining the marine made him want to kill everything?

right now i'm miffed again about how truely crap it was.. hope to hell they release some new content to get me excited properly again cause that piss-poor out-sourced advert was a sorry excuse for game hype... and in the middle of a football game too, i mean C'MON! yeah let's get everyone amped up more by being boring as ****.

as for a control scheme, it was identical to Halo 2 back in June 2005, why they'd change it is beyond me as it was very playable as was.

cmon, layoff the swearing, even if its in aster-ix, its not allowed.
there's no need to be that descriptive using gutter words.
be creative and use something more appropriate, have more respect for younger members please.

it's all in asterix and only those who know the words could've known what i ment, or atleast come close to the word i was using.

honestly i don't see an issue, you and other moderators use curse words openly at times; you even mentioned in another thread that it was apparently fine for you to cause it's not against the AUP for moderators too... which personally i find BS in itself.

so get off that high horse of yours and pipe-down about a few ascii characters, which could mean absolutely anything.

looks like the AUP might have been altered, Im sure the swearing and aster-ix component was in there. however its obscene and shouldnt have to be used regardless.
I guess **** is ok since there is no ruling to it anymore.

Swearing was, dunno why it was there given we all got slapped with a bad word filter when it was introduced. The asterix part was never in there; i've been challenged on using them many times by other moderators, even got a newbie slap from one (think it was RobK) for it. Not gonna stop using them cause there is nothing wrong with supplimenting words... nothing offensive is being written and no-one aside from the other users who know what words could be behind them know what they mean.

Heck I used to see people write *****basic when talking about a certain competitor product.

I think Raven suffers from Delusions of Grandeur.

I don't know what you must think of yourself.
I mean, you know that you didn't play an early Halo 3 beta. There's no way of proving it either way (short of asking some people at Bungie), but you sitting there at your computer must know that you are lying.

I am actually not joking, I do actually think Raven has a mental disorder. I honestly think he somehow convinces some part of his brain that these things he makes up are true.

Unfortunately through the internet it's pretty hard to 'wake up' someone from that state. I mean, whenever we provide irrefutable evidence that he is lying, he tends to not open the thread again...

I would love to see him try and justify the long list of outrageous claims he has made over the years, face to face. But unless it was face to face, I don't think there's any way of making him realise/admit...

That was honestly not a flame.

It is actually very interesting that someone can concoct such an elaborate fantasy life and then actually convince themselves of it. Depressing, but interesting.
