I have issues... (not really, or I would be at a mental asylum eating carrots, unable to type this.) Well, anyway, I have model pack #5 (like every other fpsc loving person out there) And I have a sound problem. I have changed the reload sounds and all, and they match up perfectly to the gun's animation... until you make a level with entities in it. I, being proud of my super, wicked, mad sound matching\clipping and combining skills, just wanted to test my sounds in an actual level with enemies. But all was not to go as planned. Instead of matching up perfectly like before, the sound finished before the gun was done reloading!
It ticked me off so much that I sprayed whipped cream all over my computer screen while hitting the computer tower with an overipe bananna. Anyway, back to the point. how do I get the sound to match up? Do I make it longer? Restore the old worn out sounds, or is there anyway to attach the sound to the model so it plays as fast as the animation? Or do I just go through life with un matched up sounds, doomed to wander the earth with weapons that lag with firing animations?

I poured Spot remover on my dog. Now he's gone.

Ok, first thing. chill out. "chillax."

Here's what to do.

Get a video screen recorder (that can record 30-33fps), load the gun into fpsc (with an entity-so it purposely screws it up) then, shoot the gun. Pay no attention to the screwed up sound. Once you recorded that little animation, then notice how long it was. (down to the second!) Open up a sound editing program (free one is Audacity-Google It) Then hit "Extend..." Type in the seconds you want it to extent. Itll then duplicate some of the waves making it longer. Overwrite the sound file that you applied to the screwed up gun. Restart FPSC, then the slower gun sound will match up with the reloading.

Unfortunately, I cannot help you, fpsmaster.
I would recommend emailing Jon Fletcher or Rich... Im sure they will give you a solution, or tell you what do to to change it, or whatever.
Good luck!

Yours,
Dan

fpsmaster, the easiest thing I can recommend is :

open the already provided reload sound file with aa sound editor (where you can see the waveforms on a time line)
mark the positions where the sound starts and ends etc

make your new sound file exactly within those limits.

For a moment there, I was wondering how you guys were talking about sound issues to caffeinated soda!?

Man, I wish I knew what "spex" meant.
