I was reading one of my favorite Blogs the other day (actually it's the only one I read), and found a link to the reactable website. And quite frankly, it's one of the coolest flippin' things I've ever seen. It's completely open-source, so you could make your own, if you were so technically inclined. But, discouragingly, I do not have the resources, nor the knowhow to build my very own reactable.

So, I went on the search for modular sythesization in other, cheaper forms. Wikipedia gave me a nice little article on said subject. I read through it and found a list of software based synthesizers, and clicked on ChucK, which eventually led me to their website.

I just know a forum of happy-go-lucky free-thinking game programming types, would love this website, and what ChucK has to offer; A completely open-source GP-Licence language that has loads of potential for sound/audio/music modification/creation. The way it's used, it's very possible to integrate it into a Dark Basic project.

Just check it out some time, I think it could lead to some really interesting projects.

wow, that's cool!

I tried out chuck and was impressed. This really has potensial. But i'm far from good enough in C++ to do anything about it.

Comp : 1024mb Ram, 3.0ghz, GeforceFX 5800, 1,1TB storage
skills: 3ds max, Reason 3.0, Photoshop CS 2, DBP and soon to come C++
