Our school has a Basketball team, and I guess for some reason, an Australian Basketball team came to our school to play against them (Some kind of tournament I think). Well, our team got our butts handed to us (both the boys and girls team).

I saw a few of the Australian team, but everyone was already crowed around them, so I couldn't say hi or whatever.

So, I was just wondering, if any of you, or your friends, family from Australia went to Washington, USA to play some basketball. Oh yeah, people said that one of the guys was like 7 feet tall.

Hmm. I don't really know.

I'll ask people on Monday, and maybe I can get some answers.

indi, you don't have much else to do apart from drink XXXX, have BBQ's and watch Neighbours....oh yea and beat us in the Ashes...

Sorry for the stereotypes...

But seriously, the Aussies are competitive and don't like to lose (which is important in a team) but sometimes they do go a bit far....

After the humiliation in Adelaide, I would be staying away from cricket talk if I was English.

As for Ponting's behaviour after "that" runout, well they're all just big kids, lets face it.

Maybe you should see how the English players behave once they take their place as the world's best cricket team (in my opinion it won't be too far off) before you judge the Aussies too harshly.

Being the best comes with a lot of pressure.

I do find the implication of this thread slightly offensive, asking if we know someone who went to Washington, I mean I know we don't have the overcrowded population the US has, but there are over 20 MILLION people living on the island continent.

It's like me asking you if you know my friend Jeff, because he went to America

Lol.

Well, I talked to some one, and they said they were from Sydney, though, I don't think she knew what she was talking about.

Anyway, I'll continue to talk around, maybe for some names or something.
