Analysis of the source or existing refrences of the command would be helpful for comprehending the purpose of the command.
Comprehending the lingual meaning of the command seems to indicate a link between it and the existing comand of "settarget". Given the suffex of "name" one could assume a string input is what controls the command.
Now, if it exists as an action or a condition is also crutial, as when used as a condition, it would appear to question the current targets name, as an action, it seeks a target by that name.
Finally, either way, it probally won't work to add in allies, as bullet dammage (as far as I know) still is calculated by enemy to target. Basically, the player, who is an enemy to other character entities, can only be dammaged by other character entities; and vice versa. Being able to choose your target does not elimiate the prediciment of bullet dammage.
The uses of the settarget command are also very limiting, at most, you can choose to follow a target, rotate to a target, or send an activation to a selected target. The combinations of these commands may prove useful in other 'attempts' at stuff, but individually, they only represent the inferiourity of the settarget command.
Wisemen are hard to find, they are tarnished by sayings and quotes that are not of their true nature.
