I started it up evreythong whent fine until windows came up with a problem that the comp was fualty, i turned all the mains off and unpluged it opend it up to see. Well the reason i got it free, some one had tryed to upgrade it but dident no how to. I conected the usb's that had recently be played with. looked at the graphics card to find, this crap card from orchid. So i have decided to build a new pc does any one no were i cant get a good tower with a mother bord in so al i have to do is put my parts in the pci slots, also is it able to upgrade or build a laptop.

If you're in the US, Newegg has great prices and exceptionally fast shipping. Tigerdirect is also quite good as well, but I really like the reviews on Newegg's site.

I wouldn't suggest trying to build a laptop. They're just really not meant for that. The parts are just so small and delicate. A lot of the cables in laptops are paper thin with the conductors etched in, and the slightest tug on the cable will rip it apart.

Good performance is better than a good excuse.

If it doesn't say that it comes with Windows XP pre installed, then you're going to have to put it on yourself. If you're looking at barebones systems, then you'll definitely have to get a copy of XP.

make sure theres no data on it you want to keep

install cd
restart
press the bios key at startup sometimes f1 f2 f10
make the CDROM/DVD the first device
restart
the computer will then proceed with installation.
theres tonnes of google links to this procedure.

Your mouse isn't going to work unless any OS boots. Here is a good detailed site that shows you how to install Windows XP
