I had that same problem with Blender and ended up having to animate the models with a different program. I dont think that blender's animation files are compatible with DBC.

@Zynic

Hello,

Try out my Blender to DarkBASIC python script. I wrote it for just this reason:

Blender to DBC

Enjoy your day.

Feel free to ask any questions.

The website makes it sound more complicated than it is. It's not necessary to be able to alter the python script - In blender, I couldn't find matching Emissive controls to change the DirectX file the way I wanted so I made it optional to use Blender's Mirror controls (that match up rather nicely). I made the alteration optional so someone doesn't have to mess with the Mirror properties for their Blender model for the sake of the DirectX export. But if they want to, the script can easily be changed.

Enjoy your day.

sry i forgot to check this for awhile...well it didn't work unless theres some way to use it than just downloading it into the scripts folder. cause i don't really know how to work things like that. oh and when it didn't work i looked up milkshape...do you know if that'll work with animations in DBC? but if you could, please still help me cause not only do i need things for blender so does my gaming class im taking...everyone uses blender and they've got it learned so it'd be easier than learning milkshape and that sorta jazz so yeah. i'll be checking everyday from now on.

I don't know anything about Milkshape, sorry.

For the Blender script, how to load it and run it is documented on the Docs section of the website link I gave you. In Blender, at the bottom of the 3d window, there should be a Menu Bar with View Select Object etc,

To the left of View, there should be an Icon that if you click on it, it will open a dropdown menu with many more slections. From there, follow the Docs:

http://www.anzwers.org/free/blenderdbc/9349/index.html

Basically, you are loading the script using Blender's text editor, then pressing ALT+P to launch the script. The script doesn't appear in the script selection menu, that is why you have to load it into Blender's text editor and run it from there.

Enjoy your day.

Milkshape animates well for DBC / DBP, however the process is a little harder as things get trickier.
