What’s the best analogy you can think of?

Mines: High intelligence is like walking around with an encyclopaedia on a long iron chain with a iron pike going though your colon. Sometimes its useful but most of the time its just a pain in the arse.

Another I read in a Discworld book is:

As happy as a necrophiliac alone in a morgue.

PS: I havent slept since monday night.

A friend once described their car as 'about as reliable as Edit and Continue'.

Kind of have to have used VC++ to get that...

Global Warming is like a sinking ship. You dont sit there and let the water come in, you dont hold meetings to decide on the best and most efficient method of bailing water, you dont try to think of ways to get money off of the sunken ship, you just start bailing.

VC6 or 2005? From my experience VC6's was pretty reliable, but I haven't used the feature enough to know in 2005.

"Hanging wallpaper is like making love to a beautiful woman. Clean all the relevant surfaces, spread her out on the table, cover her with paste, and stick her up. Then you clean your brush, light your pipe, stand back and admire your handiwork."

Surely everyone can't see it when you pee down your leg?

EDIT: Edit and Continue eh? Is that the debugging Edit and Continue? As in the one that detects code changes during debug and then recompiles the app and debugs from the same point? If so, yes, for VS05 it is bloody awful. If I'm thinking of the wrong thing... then I do not know

No yeah that's the right thing.

You change anything other than a comment, and it'll crash out.

But what the hell is this supposed to mean?

I personally like Darkcoder's analogy on that MMORPG thread when someone asked if DBP was capable of it:

Quote: "Is notepad capable of writing a jpg picture of earth?"
