last year at my high school I had cisco networking part I and II. This year I am doing community service with the class. Well one of the students decided to put a password on the router so that we cant login. The teacher who I don't think really knows how to fix this asked me to do it because I'm the community service student, so I told her I did not ever do it before. I only knew I had to go into ROM monitor mode, she went online and printed out a lab that explained how to do it. it was so easy until I got to the end, the lab told me to restore a config file and then reboot the router. After doing that I got just crazy strings of symbols no text just symbols. I cant type anything in. does any one have any ideas about what happen and or how to fix it. It's not a big deal if I cant fix it I my teacher will just send it to cisco but she wants me to try to fix it first.

Can't you just reset the router like a normal at home router?
