ok, after a long day, a horrible search through the forum's I got treemagik to work inside fpsc.
now when using the entity creator, I set the collision to polygon, but still cant seem to get close to the tree.

is there another collision setting I should use?

ohh just in case. here are the settings i chose"

object: dynamic
immovable
material : wood
no texture
No animation
Polygonal collision
Reality Forgotten
FPSC Reloaded TGC Backer

well this as been established several times. Should have searched trees. the foliage is based on a billboard for it's look, check to see how big the foliage is and how close to the ground it may be. try to make the trees taller and the foliage smaller.

A little question, for treemagik g3, if we could with any 3d prog. create a own trunk, and then importing it in treemagik.
