HI,
I have Multicultural day at my school this friday, and was curious if anyone not in the USA or Mexico knows any Foreign food or drink recipes. I get 20 pts credit in one of my classes, but no avail could find anything else good on the net. The reason I'm posting here is because most forums are in other countries from what I've mentioned.

Please note that it should be simple, and not too expensive to make.

Thanks in advance,

Drew

PS - I'm hoping I'm not breaking the AUP, if so, please warn me.

please forgive me about my forum name.

Grams generally translate roughly into ounces (oz) which is 1/16th of a pound (lb).

Try Borsch soup, my Russian uncle says it's russian, but wiki and other sources say it's turkish.

By the way, it's great for hangovers.

seriously, go to google and type in recipes and you'll probably get something. Sorry if this seems a little harsh but google can do amazing things.

Yum yum - goulash soup with dumplings

http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/goulash-soup-with-dumplings,1712,RC.html

Takes an age to make, but oh it's my favourite food to make at the moment.

@Tinkergirl:

I fell in love with that a few years back when my friends gf made it for us. Delicious meal, and great for lunch leftovers the next day.

I agree, goulash is very good, as a friend of mine who's German once made it.

I did, and I tried wikipedia, (Hey, they might've had something) and I had little to no luck. Then I remembered where most people who visit these forums are from...

If you wanted to fool them you could make a Balti (like a spicey curry). Everyone thinks its Indian but in fact its origins are from Birmingham (West Midlands, England).
Either that or a classic Scottish delicacy - the deep fried Mars Bar

Speaking of Indian cuisine - Drew, if you like Indian food, I have a recipe book containing 400 authentic Indian recipes, I could look for some relatively simple dishes for you if you want.

Birmingham is like another word for India, really.
