Hello, I am having a terrible time trying to find a way to make invisable teleporters. My deal is that I need the player to walk down a hall, and be teleported back to the beginning. That happens 3 times, each time the player walks down the hall a little further, and is teleported back a little closer and closer.

O-X-C---TO-TX-TC

TO, TX, and TC are the teleporters and they teleport the person back to O, X, and C respectfully. I have tried changing the 'transparency' after right clicking on the teleporters in/out to no avail. I have also tried using a trigger zone and changing the script to a teleporting one. I already have it working so after you teleport at each one they stop working, now all I need is a way to activate the teleporting script without any visable objects in the hallway. There probably is a really simple way to do this, and i'm sorry for asking it, and I did search the forums already. So either i'm stupid, or dumb...

What I really need is the opposite of the action suspend, I need it to be invisable, but still working, then I can destroy it after its done teleporting me.

You can achieve the same results without using the teleporters.

I will go through it once and you will see how to repeat it for each movement.

O=Dynamic object
TO=Dynamic object

These dynamic objects can be as small as a pinhead, it doesn't matter, but if you don't want then to be noticed, the smaller the better. Decals will work, I think. Place them in the middle of the hall so the player has room to land on them, so to speak. Don't use something on a wall or a chandelier.

Script for TO:
:state=0,plrdistwithin=40:state=1
:state=1:plrmoveto=O,destroy

Rinse and repeat if necessary.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

alright, I think it will work if I just apply the scripts I have to an extremely small model, if i can find one.

I have done it. I just created a transparent decal and applied the teleporter script modified to destroy after its used once. Now my only problem is finding it when I need to alter it in the editor! lol

Alrighty xplosys, I've got everything down to one thing. On the last teleport I have the player teleported to a mock hallway, where the doors are locked, and theres a dead body in the middle...but when I teleport, my guy gets stuck in the floor/part of the wall. I tried raising the decal pad used to receive him, and leaving it level on the floor...is he getting stuck in the decal, or the hallway do you suppose? Because its working fine, and always has until he gets teleported into another hallway...

Well, i dont think its the decal, because i replaced it with another smaller entity. its as if the teleporter literally throws me into the other hallway and i get stuck in the wall. pic of where im stuck.

It could be a FPSC mystery, or it could be that you're not entirely in the middle of the hall, perhaps getting stck in the wall where it widens out at the bottom. Im not sure how that type of segment is handled by the engine.

Try to center up as much as you can and if that fails, try replacing the segments where you land to something simpler to see if that's what it is.

Best.

Alright thanks, P.S, i have come up with a cool idea, but would rather it not be widely known. I'm emailing it to you now.
