Just received the usual boatload of spam (most of which gets directed to the trash automatically) - however, I always do a quick scan of them before I permanently delete them.

This time I came across an interesting one which contained the following:

fi you cna raed tihs, you hvae a sgtrane mnid too. Cna you raed tihs? Olny 55% of plepoe can.

i cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was
rdanieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid, aoccdrnig to rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, mnaes it dseno't mtaetr in waht oerdr the ltteres in a wrod are, the olny iproamtnt tihng is taht the frsit and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae.

The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it whotuit a pboerlm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.

Azanmig huh? yaeh and I awlyas tghuhot slpeling was ipmorantt! if you can raed tihs you msut be one of the cevler oens.

Interestingly enough, I could read it first attempt at normal reading speed - anyone else?

Yeah, I can read it fine, and it's been posted several times before.

moved it for you TDK.
If you get cable tv, the history channel has a 30 second teaser about this concept as well.
As long as the first and last letters dont move it should work out fine.

The only time I get hung up on a word is when there could be another word using almost all the same letters. It's pretty interesting though.

Yeah, I could read it. What's so special about that? That's how a lot of people type on the forums, so we should all have lots of practice

Yeah, posted here numerous times before. However, as mentioned in those previous threads, what they claim is not entirely true. If you leave the first and last letters in the correct place and reverse the rest of them, it makes it much more difficult to read.
