FPSC Classic Scripts / Help with Dog script please

Hi all.

I am trying to learn to make my own scipts and found this one. Its for a dog and I think is quite well known. I've only included 2 lines in the script to see how it works:

:state=0,plrdistwithin=500:state=1
:state=1,plrdistwithin=300:rotatetoplr,movefore=30,animate=2

When I get near the dog, sometimes it just runs on the spot. Sometimes follows me (as I want it to). Seems to vary. Any ideas?

I think the first range is unnecessary. And I think you should change the movefore=30 because even when you get out of range the dog will continue moving until it's done with the 30 steps.

Dog runs towards me for a while then just runs on the spot all the time...very strange!

you need to add this in your script, plrdistwithin=XX, animate=1

that will make it swap the animate=2, which is the walking animation, for the idle animation. plus, change amimate=1 a the end of Nue B's script to animate.

Your signature has been erased by a mod because it's larger than 600x120
