Ok. i've searched everywhere on the Forums, but couldn't find any results. I was wandering if there was any models of Alien Marines, like the ones you see off quake 4 or doom?

Is there any model packs with any in? or would any body be kind enough to make me one for about £10 - £20, or even better, retexture an already animated character?

thanks

O.N

Glad to see you are at least offering a payment. Maybe retexturing the skin of colonel x would work.

woah nice textures, both of you! I'm sorry to say though, the style i am aiming for is a quake 4/doom style, with lots of blood, gore and machinery attached to the marine if you understand.

thanks for your input, but i'm working on my own re-texture.
I will post a screeny if its any good.

Thanks again.

@JohannesM: that was done with photoimpact 10. I did the Aiko 4 days later, when i had got better. I may redo the texture for colonel X, but i'm not sure yet.

(note: I am also trying to learn gimp, using gimp to start actuall textures, and using photoimpact for lighting and skintones).

@Oninmista n00b: k d/w about it, post your texture here after, as i would like to see how you do.

sorry to say it, but they are both pure garbage textures.... You simply changed the color of the skin. Try to look fopr some tutorials.

I only tried to change the skin anyway! In my game Colonel X and Aiko get infected with a virus, half way through. I could probably change armour and stuff if i wanted too.

me being stupid i forgot to save my texture i made!! which took me 20mins so i just quickly made a new one, just demonstrating what i am heading towards. the old texture had shadows, different armour and more machinery on but this is really poor, but oh well thought i might aswel show it, so then you believe I actually did some work.

O.N

P.S SF do you think you could give me any advice how to texture this idea? or if you are generous even a have a quick go at a texture for me? thanks

basically you just inverted the colours, do a bit more editing cos i could do something as easy as that in ms paint.

also if you do wanna have that inverted afect, go ahead and make a copy of the gun, with inverted colours too.

oh yeah and can we see an image of her back? to see the scratches

Tyrano

EDIT: K i redid my colonel X; not as good as yours but hey whatever.

BTW i will give you credit when my game is complete.

@ Tyrano man

no. I diddnt even use paint. I diddn't even know you can invert colours in paint. Even the most simple retexture may be good.

@ Oninmista n00b

Ok I will send it.

The ideas are good, but they're not well executed. Take some time to learn more about the capabilities of the program you're using. With a bit of time and excercise you'll get great at it in no time, if you've got a little bit of esthetic essence in your brain.

Retexture of AI, took about 10 mins because I am lame at The Gimp. Minor parts edited to make it look evil - ish

How do you spell Demon?

you could use it to have EVIL AI robots vs. GOOD AI robots like iRobot if you have seen the film.

ok your colonel X texture was good but no offense that one is not so good..

and you spelt demon right.

but yer could run emptys mod with sensei AI. that way you could have 2 good robots on your side against the evil robots
