Ok, so is was technically Friday but I just found out.

This year around he hits the big 60.

Wish I didn't pass up that chance to see his concert back in highschool.

My claim to fame (and its a crap one) is that my Mum used to know Bowie when he was a school kid. He lived just up the road and then used to go on the same school bus (Bowie went to a boy's school).

Cheer if you like bears! Cheer if you like jam sandwiches!

@Philip- WOW!

no really, i envy you

David Bowie is great lol....

"You remind me of the babe..."
"What babe?"

"The babe with the power."
"What power?"

"The power of voodoo"
"who do?"

"You do."
"Do what?"

"Remind me of the babe!"

labyrinth was definitely one of his finest moments

One man, one lawnmower, plenty of angry groundhogs.

And I just checked wikipedia to make sure. It is the 5th.

Well my version of wikipedia says it's the 8th (Although someone had changed it to the 5th previously, because they misread the news on the official site)

Checked 2 sources and though both were the same date, its still the wrong info. Stupid unregulated Internet! If you check wiki using 'bowie' instead of "Bowie", it'll say the 5th.

Ok, happy upcoming birthday, Bowie.
