So im trying to make a movie for a class in movie maker, because I could not find anything better, and the thing is, I found a nice clip with some audio in it and I would like to keep said audio but when I drop the clip into the time line it takes away the audio, its not muted or anything its just gone, but when I preview it in collections the audio is still there.

So, is there some type of default option that does this, or what can I do?

thats odd. i have no idea, but if you have the compression rate too low it will distort the sound but i doubt thats it.
