Hey, I just got an 18 slot BF2 server, but I've been trying to set it up for hours. I have everything set up properly, but when I try to start it, it says:

I don't know what this means, but if anyone knows the problem, please tell! My clan is eager to have their own server.

The only reason I am posting this on TGC, is because the server hosts don't have an email, and their support isn't answering on Xfire. And the BF2CC forums, have the admin allow people in, so who knows how long that will take.

It looks to me like you have a port or ip set wrong somewhere

System.Runtime.Remoting.Channels.Tcp.TcpServerChannel

Remoting is a .Net technology allowing applications to talk to other applications locally or over the internet using TCP.

Check your config files for a remoting entry, and check that it is a valid address with a socket.

To me this looks like the IP address (or port as Kentaree mentioned) trying to be used is wrong. Such an error could result from trying to use your Internet IP when not directly connected to the net (ie. behind a router). Just a thought..

This is .NET Remoting related, TCPListener wouldnt throw a SinkProvider error, iirc

it can be affected by ip and machine named pipe problems, but the throw looks like its a Remoting issue as opposed to a standard TCP issue. Remoting is using TCP behind the scenes. .Net Remoting is the replacement to DCOM for interprocess communications.
